Our first Visit to Wat Buddahamongkolnimit was during a trip to visit our granddaughter.

We found the Wat was not far from our hotel. It has been our experience that Thai monks are generally very friendly and excited to meet new people. Especially people like Carol, who looks American but speaks Thai and knows the customs.

The Monks at this Wat were extra friendly and made us feel right at home and spent a lot of time chatting with us. After the Monks had their lunch, we had our turn eating some delicious Thai food and talking with the other visitors while cleaning up after ourselves.

To see photos of our first visit, look at our blog post here>http://jai-yen.tv/archives/495
