We were again in NM to visit the new grand-baby and made arrangements to take the Monks to lunch at the restaurant of their choice on Nov 26th.

We arrived at the Wat early to make sure everyone was ready to go. The Abbott wanted to give our grand daughter, Mila, a blessing before we left to eat. The pic below shows the blessing.

Mila received a bracelet and a Buddha amulet to wear around her neck.

After the blessing, all 6 monks, the 2 language and music teachers along with us drove to Golden Corral for a great buffet lunch. We teased the monks that there was no Thai food at the buffet to which they said, "we eat Thai food every day, it's nice to change".

Photo of lunch below.

The next day, November 27 was the Abbott's birthday. We were invited to attend the ceremony which was wonderful. Thai music, dancing, chanting and tons of food.

Here is a photo from the ceremony.
